Quick Update
Hand is okay - I'm on antibiotics, and if it doesn't start clearing up in a couple of days I have to have an xray to make sure none of the metal pointy thing came off in the wound. Ewww!
Knitting. Cats. Books. Mood Swings. Stuff. Heh.

Ewwwww!It wasn't a Chibi needle, was it?!
Are they having you soak it in hot hot hot water and iodine? Anytime I've had a finger infection, they have me do that. It really helps.
Hoping the antibiotics start working quick like.
Ditto. Very quick like. Ewww. Hydrogen peroxide never hurts either, plus the bubbling part is cool.
Oh, and I watched that link Chris posted in your original injury post (never thought of it like that, didya? lol) and I just have to say DISTURBED!. lmao.
It's gloomy and overcast and raining here today and I should be home knitting and not here at work....well, not working.
No, not a Chibi needle, unfortunately - I could appreciate the irony if it was! And we don't get Chibis here in Australia (cue violins)...
It was a wooden-handled long sharp metal pointy thing that was originally used for punching holes in paper but which I use for removing staples. Foolishly, I was using it to open a box and it slipped and buried itself in my hand. My own silly fault - although it was tempting to claim Workcover just to see the look on my boss's face!
Carrie - yep, it was disturbed - but I have to admit I asked for it! It's no small thing to inflict a flock of Japanese men dressed suggestively as flamingos on the blogging world.
Eep! Poor you. Hope the antibiotics kick in quick and no bits of the pointy thing still remain.
Thanks for your lovely message. I tried to comment and to post yesterday but it all went a bit pear-shaped. Maybe Blogger and I are sharing a shaky moment.
Mrs Pao - It wasn't just you. I think *whispers* it was Blogger's moontime, if you know what I mean. It was cranky. :)
