Uh-oh.

Mum, this had better not be what I think it is....

Last night I crocheted.

And I LIKED it.

I tried crochet many years ago. I made some slippers that I liked a lot. Then I made a giant hat, big enough for an elephant. That was the end of my crochet career. I keep saying I'm going to try it again though.

Yeah! Welcome to the world of crochet. Glad to hear you LIKED it. What kind of project are you working on with that pretty purple yarn?

:) I'm starting off easy with a single chain square - maybe a washcloth? I have to save up for a book or two to learn more stitches and do more than squares!

I love to make Granny Squares. 10 minutes, a few scraps of leftover yarn and my crochetting urge has been satisfied for yet another month or so.

I totally recommend Stitch n Bitch: The Happy Hooker. Very clear instructions and some great projects! Which reminds me.. need to buy more cotton for skullholders...

You know, they have help groups for this sort of thing : P

So, when are you going to see the light and turn to crazy quilting like all us sane, normal people?
