I've just re-read it after watching the recent BBC adaptation. And now I'm wandering around all lost because I don't want to read anything else. This is the first time I've picked up on how much Mrs Fairfax knits though...
I covet that book.
Wow! How cool. I love that book too - there has just been a great adaptation on the BBC - did you get that in Australia? Worth looking out. One of the subjects Jane teaches is knitting (although sadly we don't get to see her doing this!).
I'm going to read Jane Eyre again now!!
But that is SO cool! I was watching Portrait of Jenny the other day (old Joseph Cotton movie) and one of the women was knitting away with a cat romping on the chair next to her. I had to rewind and watch it again. Look! Knitting!
Wow - that is a GREAT cover. I guess we're all geeks, too, 'cos we totally understand...
What a find! I'm envious!
